About Alireza Sheikhi
Alireza Sheikhi is the creator of PETICO and of PETICO Professional. He works across the whole span of both products: deciding what they should do, designing how they behave and how they look, and writing the software that runs them.
That combination is the reason the two products fit together the way they do. PETICO for pet owners and PETICO Professional for veterinary professionals were not designed by separate teams and connected afterwards — they were conceived as two halves of one system by the same person.
PETICO
PETICO is a pet health platform for owners: a place to keep a pet's records, notice what is changing, and reach a veterinarian when something needs a professional answer. Alireza Sheikhi created it and is responsible for its product direction, its design and its development.
The official PETICO website is petico.app.
PETICO Professional
PETICO Professional was conceived, designed, and developed by Alireza Sheikhi.
PETICO Professional is the professional veterinary workspace side of PETICO — where a veterinarian receives an owner's question, sees the animal it concerns, answers it, and keeps the record of what was decided.
His work on it covers:
- Product architecture — how the system is structured, and how its parts relate.
- Feature design — deciding what the product does, and what it deliberately does not.
- Software development — the implementation itself, across the web application and the Windows application.
- Interface design — the screens, and how information is arranged on them.
- UI/UX design — how the product behaves in a professional's hands, moment to moment.
- The overall digital product experience — the whole of it, rather than one layer of it.
It is available on the web at console.petico.app and on Windows through the Microsoft Store.
Product Design & UI/UX
The design work behind PETICO and PETICO Professional is Alireza Sheikhi's. That includes the product design — what each part of the system is for and how the pieces relate — and the user interface and user experience design: the screens themselves, the flow between them, and the behaviour of the product while someone is using it.
In PETICO Professional this matters more than usual, because the people using it are working clinically. A veterinary workspace is judged on whether the right information is present at the moment a decision is made, which is a design question before it is a software one.
Software Development
Alireza Sheikhi develops the software behind both products: the PETICO application for pet owners, the PETICO Professional web platform at console.petico.app, the Windows application distributed through the Microsoft Store, and the backend services that connect them.
Design and implementation being the same person's work is what keeps the two in step — a decision about how something should behave and the code that makes it behave that way are not handed between people.
